Gunners And Dynamos To Represent Zimbabwe in CAF Champions League

Both Zimbabwe's Premier Soccer League title-holder Gunners and runner-up Dynamos will play in the 2010 CAF Champions League due to a change in the continental confederation's rules

Zimbabwean soccer fans are very pleased that the Confederation of African Football has changed its rules so that two teams from each country can participate in the CAF Champions League starting in 2010.

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League title-holder Gunners and runner-up Dynamos will therefore qualify.

Dynamos qualified for Champions League play in 2008 and fans of the Harare-based club hope that experience will help it bring the trophy back to Zimbabwe next year.

Sports commentator Michael Kariati tells VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye he hopes financial issues will not dash these hopes for the teams.
