Former British Sports Minister Kate Hoey, who recently visited Zimbabwe and shot video of the government’s destruction of homes, said she will urge the New Zealand and Indian national cricket teams to cancel tours in Zimbabwe that are currently scheduled for August and September.
Ms. Hoey told reporter Marvellous Nyahuye of VOA’s Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the teams should boycott Zimbabwe to protest the government’s demolition of homes and destruction of livelihoods under the guise of a broad clean-up.
