Our World presents the latest news and in-depth features, plus a Website of the Week — all in a lively, fast-paced state-of-the-art package.

Host Art Chimes brings to the program a background of more than two decades in radio journalism, including several years as VOA's top science correspondent. Among the stories he has covered are space shuttle launches at Cape Canaveral, international AIDS conferences in Europe and North America, and the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.

Art's career at VOA has also included two overseas assignments, in Jerusalem and Prague, plus Washington jobs as an economics reporter, newsroom editor, and writer. Before hosting Our World, Art was an editor on our website, voanews.com.

Art has hosted Our World since 2004.  The show first aired in 2000, anchored by Rob Sivak, who now edits the program. Rob was replaced by Rosanne Skirble, who is still heard as contributing reporter and substitute host.
