Tropical Storm Flossie has formed in the Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Mexico and the U.S. state of Hawaii.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, reports Wednesday that the storm is located far from land and moving west with wind speeds near 65 kilometers per hour.
Forecasters predict that the storm will strengthen in the coming days before weakening over cooler waters.
