London Subway Bombing Suspects to Face Judge

Three men charged with trying to bomb the London subway and a bus face a British judge Monday.

Police Sunday charged Ibrahim Muktar Said and Ramzi Mohammed with attempted murder and possessing explosives in a failed attempt to set off bombs on July 21.

Police filed the same charges Saturday against a third suspect, Yassin Hassan Omar. He will also go before a judge today.

A fourth suspected bomber, Hamdi Issac, also known as Osman Hussein, is in Italian custody, pending possible extradition to Britain.

Meanwhile, British media say authorities could charge three Muslim clerics in Britain with treason for allegedly condoning terrorism.

One well-known cleric, Omar Bakri Mohammed, has reportedly said he would not inform police if he knew Muslims were planning a bomb attack in Britain.
