Runners are chased by 'Aguirre Ybarra' fighting bulls during bullrun through streets of Pamplona
Four people were gored by bulls in Spain Saturday at the annual running of the bulls in the northern city of Pamplona.

Officials say a 24-year-old man was gored twice, and is hospitalized with serious injuries. Several other people were injured as they ran alongside the bulls at the annual San Fermin festival, which ends on Thursday.

Thousands of people from around the world are in Pamplona for the daily runs, bullfights and all-night parties that mark the celebration.

Ernest Hemingway's 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises brought international recognition to the week-long, centuries-old celebration that honors the memory of Pamplona's patron saint.
