Saudi Leader Visits Bush at His Texas Ranch

President Bush hosts Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah at his Texas ranch Monday for talks on surging oil prices and other issues.

Mr. Bush is expected to press for more oil production from Saudi Arabia, which is already the biggest oil producer within the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. Saudi Arabia recently pledged to increase its oil output by more than 30 percent over the next four years (from the current level, 9.5 million barrels a day, to 12.5 million barrels per day).

The two leaders also plan to discuss the war on terror and efforts to extend democracy and peace in the Middle East.

The Saudis are seeking an agreement with the United States that would pave the way for the kingdom to join the World Trade Organization.

Sunday, Prince Abdullah met with Vice President Dick Cheney in Texas.
