Here are prices of some key commodities traded in New York:
Crude oil for February delivery rose $.34 to close at $48.38 a barrel.
Coffee for March delivery lost one cent to close at o$1.001 per pound.
March cocoa fell $5, settling at $1,500 dollars per ton.
Copper for January delivery settled at $1.434 cents per pound, which is up more than $.02.
