US General Says Fallujah No Longer Safe Haven for Insurgents

The top commander of U.S. Marines in Iraq says U.S. and Iraqi troops have "broken the back" of the insurgency there by taking control of Fallujah.
Lieutenant General John Sattler said Thursday the 11-day operation has pushed the insurgents out of their safe haven and into less familiar areas there it may be more difficult for them to operate. But, he said Fallujah is not quite secure yet.
U.S. troops going building-to-building in Fallujah have found what is believed to be a safe house containing evidence linked to wanted militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
General Settler did not confirm the find, but reporters with the troops in the city say photographs, notes, ammunition and letters thought to be from al-Zarqawi were found.
