Woods Mother-in-Law Released from Hospital

update

She had been admitted to a hospital with stomach pain

The mother-in-law of world number-one golfer Tiger Woods has been released from a Florida hospital, some 11 hours after being admitted with stomach pain.

Barbro Holmberg was rushed to Health Central hospital in response to a 911 emergency call from Woods' home around 2:36 a.m. local time Tuesday. News footage showed a blonde woman arriving at the hospital on a gurney.

Holmberg, who arrived in the United States a few days ago, lives in Sweden and is the mother of Woods' wife, Elin. Family members visited her, but hospital officials would not disclose their identities. Holmberg is now recuperating at Woods' home.

The latest incident comes 11 days after Woods was involved in a single-car accident before dawn on November 27. Several days later, Woods issued an apology saying he had let his family down with unspecified "transgressions." Since that time, growing tabloid reports have linked the married Woods with as many as 10 women.

A spokeswoman for Holmberg, Eva Malmborg said she was informed by a family member that Holmberg was feeling well "considering the circumstances." She added that as far as she knows, Holmberg does not suffer from any disease.
